What documents do I need to rent a home?
Usually a government photo ID, address proof, recent photographs, employment or business details and references. Owners may also require police verification, which is mandatory in many cities.
How much security deposit is usual?
For homes, deposits commonly range from two to three months' rent, though this varies by city and owner. Commercial deposits are often higher. Always agree the amount and refund terms in writing.
Should the rent agreement be registered?
Agreements of 11 months are common and are often notarised, while longer agreements generally need to be registered. A written agreement protects both tenant and owner — we help you prepare one.
Are maintenance charges included in the rent?
It depends on the property. Society maintenance, electricity, water and parking may be separate. We confirm what is and is not included before you commit.
Can I rent commercial space for a short period?
